At PDFix (operated by Kairos Coders), protecting your document privacy is our founding technical principle.

1. In-Browser Local Document Processing

Unlike conventional online PDF converters that require uploading your documents to remote server clouds, PDFix processes 100% of your documents locally inside your browser memory or mobile device using WebAssembly and client-side JavaScript.

Your files are never transmitted across the internet to our servers.
We do not store, view, copy, or index your PDF contents.
When you close your browser tab or app, all temporary memory allocations are wiped clean.

2. Mobile Device Permissions (iOS & Android)

When using the PDFix mobile application, the following device permissions may be requested for specific tools:

Camera Access: Requested solely when using the Camera Scanner feature to capture document photos. Photo captures are processed directly on your device.
Storage / Files Access: Requested to pick PDFs from your device and save merged/compressed PDF outputs back to your chosen storage location.
Biometrics (FaceID / Fingerprint): Used optionally for the local Document Vault lock feature. Biometric data remains strictly inside your operating system’s Secure Enclave.

3. Analytics & Information Collection

We do not collect personal identifiable information (PII), email addresses, or document data. Anonymous performance telemetries (such as aggregated tool usage counters or crash logs) may be collected to help us optimize application stability across browsers and operating systems.
